He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Pankonen and Vadis Pankonen (McCurdy); and his siblings, Terry, Brenda, Patricia, Ricky, Lori and Coby.
He is survived by: his sons, Miles Pankonen (Sara) of Ames, Iowa, Matt Pankonen of Dawson, Minnesota and Marty Pankonen (Steph) of Clara City, Minnesota; and his siblings, Wilda Edgecomb of Avoca, Iowa, Linda Pankonen of Pipestone, Minnesota, Debra Pankonen of Pipestone, Minnesota, Scott Pankonen of Mount View, California and Todd Pankonen of Sioux Falls. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, other family and many friends.
