He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Adolph Polacek and Matilda "Tillie" Schlueter (Sabata); his wife Linda Polacek of Shelby, IA; his children, Lance Buck (Mindy Broadstreet) of Bellevue, NE, Jani Ring (Louie) of Shelby, IA and Paul Polacek (Tracy Hidalgo) of Santa Clara, CA; his grandson Cody Buck; his children, Beth Walker (Allen), Alvin Ring (Angie), Wayne Ring, Summer Jones, Joe Buck, Samantha Polacek and Steven Polacek; his great grandchildren, Lee, Frank, Bentley, Addy, Ellyott, Jackson, Lilith and Marian; and his siblings, Carol Fox of Shelby, IA and John Schlueter (Karen) of Shelby, IA.. He was also cherished by many nephews, nieces and friends.
