He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Winona and Mary Winona; and his sister Mary. He is survived by: his wife Darlene Wood of Council Bluffs, Iowa; his children, Mary Elizabeth (Dean) of Hancock, Iowa, James Robert (Deanne) of Ames, Iowa, Jeffrey Thomas (Susan) of Northbrook, Illinois and Timothy Stuart (Candace) of Denison, Iowa; and his brother Leo Stuart (Gayle) of Walnut, Iowa.
