She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Best and Lucille Best (McKeown); and her in-laws, Mary Jane and Keith Peterson. She is survived by: her husband Paul Peterson of Harlan, Iowa; her children, Brenda Marts (Cliff) of Ignacio, Colorado, Janine Fetzer (Lavern) of Amarillo, Texas, David Peterson (Tamara) of Clarinda, Iowa and Jean Mills of Shelby, Iowa; and her sister Joy Christiansen (Gerald). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Pauley Jones Funeral Home - Avoca (1304 N Sawmill Dr, Avoca, IA 51521).
