With heavy hearts, we announce the death of LaVerne Orval Kock of Avoca, Iowa, who passed away on March 12, 2023 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie and Emma Kock (Peters); his wife Irma Elsie Hansen of Avoca; his son-in-law Robert Tompkins; and his grandchildren, Austin Tompkins and Jennifer Tompkins.
He is survived by: his children, Larry Kock (Kathleen), Connie Mongan (Tod), Kathy Tompkins and Carol Vinton (Steve). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 7 step-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be sent to Trinity Lutheran Church, Avoca, Iowa or Avoca Specialty Care of Avoca, Iowa.
