It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Esther J. Messerschmidt (Avoca, Iowa), who passed away on February 23, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her children, Steven James Messerschmidt (Ann), Stanley Joseph Messerschmidt (Sue), Paula Marie Heck (Andy), Patricia Mae Kroll (Jim), Stewart Jerome Messerschmidt (Trudy) and Sidney Jerard; and her husband Jerome Arthur Messerschmidt. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Patrick's Church.
