He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Martin Burmeister and Ina Rock Burmeister; his mother-in-law Bonnie Green; his sister-in-law Susan Green; and his nephew Christopher Green.

He is survived by: his nephew Jason Rold; his wife Sandra Burmeister; his sons, Matthew (Shauna) and Andrew (Angela); his grandchildren, Augustus, Axel, Aurora and Alaric; his siblings, Donna (Jerry) and David (Kathi); his father-in-law Robert Green; and his brother-in-law Keith Green. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends and fraternity brothers.
