He is survived by: his wife Wanda Heitz (Lentz); his children, Marie Ware (Lowell) of Dubuque, Kevin Heitz (Desiree) of Aurora, Alan Heitz (Helen) of Aurora, Terry Heitz (Tracy) of Ankeny, Cindy Gentz (Curt) of Masonville and Nathan Heitz (Sara) of Waverly; his grandchildren, Bradley Ware, Danielle, Olivia Heitz, Hannah Kingsley (Casey), Kayla, Rachel Heitz, Cassie Kurash (Ross), Leah, Alex Gentz, Oliver, Phoebe and Micah Heitz; his great grandchildren, Henry Kurash, Elijah and Lydia Gentz; and his siblings, Elmer Heitz (Kay) of Farley, Richard Heitz of Farley, Matt Heitz (Marna) of Farley, Julian Heitz (Ursula) of Nashville and Diana Kirkwood (Tom) of Dyersville.
