She was predeceased by: her husband Paul Freeman "Red" Samuelson; her sons, Roger, Gary and Ronald; her siblings, Alvin, Paul Volkert and Janet Hahn; and her siblings-in-law, Erma Volkert, Jim Young, Wilbert Vohs and Lorne Hahn.
She is survived by: her daughter Shari Wesely (John) of Phoenix, Arizona; her grandchildren, James Samuelson, Holly Shill (Chris), David Samuelson and Vanessa Samuelson; her great grandchildren, Nicole, Andrea Samuelson, Aaron, Sachi Sakai and Regan Shill; her sisters, Frieda Vohs of Holstein and Carolyn Young of Marshalltown, Iowa; and her sister-in-law Barb Volkert of Cherokee, Iowa. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
