With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Martha Swanson of Aurelia, Iowa, who passed away on April 25, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugo Gerstandt and Emma Gerstandt (Streufert); her husband Floyd D. Swanson; her siblings, August (Geneva Gerstandt), Herman (Delores Gerstandt), Edward (Erma Gerstandt), Albert (Elfrieda Gerstandt), Elsie (Lester Kuehl), Margaret Gerstandt, Ida (Delbert Wiese) and Helen (Elmer Dau); her niece Judy Wallace (Gerstandt); and also Marvin Gerstandt.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Kelley of Sioux City, IA, Bill Swanson of Aurelia and Byron (Michelle); her grandchildren, Sarah (Anthony Gill) of Jackson, NE, Amanda (Austin Stuhr) of Alta, IA, Matthew Swanson of Indianola, IA and Michael Swanson of Indianola, IA; and her great grandchild Braxton Stuhr of Alta. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
