It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lila M. Schwanz of Aurelia, Iowa, born in Alta, Iowa, who passed away on December 23, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Grienke and Millie Grienke; her husband Wilbert Dean Schwanz; her daughter Brenda Matsen (Schwanz); her brothers, Orlin and Robert Grienke; and her brother-in-law Joseph Lichter.
She is survived by: her children, Brian (Colleen Schwanz) of Alta and Rhonda (Tony Coombs) of Aurelia; her son-in-law Jess Matsen of SanTan Valley, AZ; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Chad Curtis) of Arlington Heights, IL, Ashley (CJ O'Brion) of Chandler, AZ and Miranda (Chris Sliefert) of Sac City, IA; her great grandchildren, Spencer, Lauren Curtis, Taylor, Avery O'Brion, Jaxsen, Bryson and Elle Sliefert; her sister JoAnn Lichter of Omaha, NE; and her sister-in-law Josephine Grienke of Alta. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
