He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Kenneth and Eldoris Irene Kruse (Dykstra); his daughter Ashley Kruse; his mother-in-law Alice Lewis; and his son-in-law Juan Murillo.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Kruse of Aurelia; his daughter Alyssa Kruse; his grandchildren, Bentley of Aurelia, Gabriela of Aurelia and Layla Murillo of Aurelia; his sister Judy (Gary Borman) of Rock Rapids; his father-in-law Jerry Lewis of Aurelia; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Lewis (Vickie Pelsor) of Aurelia, Michael (Jennifer Lewis) of Carpenter, IA and Chad (Malinda Lewis) of Larrabee, IA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
