He was predeceased by: his grandparents, George, Letha Smith, Albert and Alma Grashoff; his parents-in-law, Ferne and Vernie Nicolaisen; his nephews, Andy Berge, Jason Nicolaisen, Justin and Corey Nicolaisen; and his siblings-in-law, Galen and Gaylene Nicolaisen.

He is survived by: his parents, Russell I. Grashoff and Doris L. Grashoff (Smith) of Cherokee, Iowa; his wife Lisa Nicolaisen of Aurelia, Iowa; his brother Brandon I. Grashoff (Laura) of Sioux Falls, S. D.; his nephews, Alex and Adam; his sister Valarie I. Grashoff Berge (Perry) of Nora Springs; and his nephews, Steven, Jared, Joshua and Nathan.
