With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cynthia Kaskey of Aurelia, Iowa, born in Sioux Center, Iowa, who passed away on July 12, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Evert Vermeer and Alida Vermeer (Borgman); her husband Delaine; and her siblings, Edna Van Roekel, Aldene Van Roekel, Hester Black, Mildred Schutt, Irwin Vermeer, Loyd Vermeer, Elnor Niffenegger, Wally Vermeer, Ruth Bonnema and Wayne Vermeer.

She is survived by: her former spouse Gene Kaskey; her children, Linda Romero of Brooklyn, IA, Eva, Amanda, Edward and Donna Hoadley (Craig) of Sheldon, IA; her grandchildren, Kristin, Will, Wade, Erik and Evan; her child Merri Johnson (Brad) of Auburn, NE; her grandchildren, Guy and Sadie; her daughter Sheree Hausmann (Louie) of Cherokee, IA; her grandchildren, Hallie and Abby; her daughter Rhonda Camarigg (Doug) of Sioux City, IA; her grandchildren, Stacey and Jarod; her son John Kolb (Jill) of Ames, IA; her grandchildren, Delaney, Madelein and Ian; her stepchildren, JoAnn Dye (Bill) of Snowflake, AZ, Kay Brown (Marty) of Omaha, NE and Dale Kaskey (Cheryl) of Aurelia, IA.; and her sisters-in-law, Helen Vermeer and Ellen Vermeer. She is also survived by 34 great-grandchildren.
