He was predeceased by: his father Stanley Peterson; and his grandparents, Charles, Lillian Galvin, Oscar and Mabel Peterson.

He is survived by: his mother Patricia Peterson (Galvin) of Aurelia; and his brothers, Barry (Birgit Peterson), Bryan (Betty Peterson) and Brent (Lori Peterson). He is also survived by five nieces, two nephews, two great-nephews, and one great-niece.
