He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Shupe and Christena Shupe (Mathisen); his wife Helen Shupe; his brothers-in-law, Don Schade and Charles "Chuck" Buresh; and his nephew Steve Schade.
He is survived by: his daughters, Donna (Robert Daniel) of Ankeny, Diane (Doug Kopp) of Solon and Deborah Schmitz of Omaha, Nebraska; his grandchildren, Jessica (Scott Johanningmeier) of Mt. Vernon, Austin (Christina Kopp) of North Liberty, Robyn (Orlando Vera) of Omaha, Nebraska, Lindsay (Tim O'Neil) of Omaha, Nebraska and Andrew (Cassie Heisterkamp) of Omaha, Nebraska; his siblings, Claribel Buresh of Omaha, Nebraska and Bill (Coralie Shupe) of Sheridan, Wyoming; and his sisters-in-law, Alice (Darrell Heath) of Council Bluffs and Betty Schade of Glenwood, Iowa. He is also survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
