It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Madonna Jean Tinker of Audubon, Iowa, born in Janesville, Wisconsin, who passed away on January 15, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gotlieb Schmidt (Henry) and Gladys Schmidt (Volden); her husband Richard Tinker; her daughter-in-law Cindy Tinker; her siblings, Yvonne Kathleen Schmidt and Arnold Schmidt; her parents-in-law, Mary Hanson (Dedic Tinker) and Hully Hanson; her siblings-in-law, Martha Schmidt and Andy Anderson; and her nephews, Jerry Schmidt and Larry Anderson.
She is survived by: her children, James Tinker (Janet) of Audubon, IA, Joseph Tinker of Cherokee, IA and Renee Larson (Tinker) of Oshkosh, WI; her grandchildren, Kristopher Larson (Sarrah) of Oshkosh, WI, Jenna Larson (Bob Poeschl) of Oshkosh, WI, Nathan Larson (Wendy) of Oshkosh, WI, William Tinker (Caroline) of Peoria, IL and Matthew Tinker (Emily) of Peoria, IL; her great grandchildren, Diah, Kallum, Madrona Larson-Poeschl, Elia, Harper Larson, Alida, Kerstin Tinker and Charlotte Tinker; her sister Rebecca; and her siblings-in-law, Jim Larson of Viroqua, WI and Dorothy Anderson (Tinker) of Winona, MN.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established to support the Cherokee community that has been dear to Madonna for many years.
