She was predeceased by: her parents, Lorens Christian and Olga Marie Nissen (Sorensen); her husband Roy "Sam" Lawson; her siblings, Ruth Heiken and David Nissen; and her sisters-in-law, Edith (Reuben Stoberl), Grace (George Campbell) and Wanda (Allie Tigges).
She is survived by: her children, Kurt (Terri Lawson) of Carroll and Lana Brown of Allen, Texas; her grandchildren, Tera Lawson of Ames, Chad (Kelly Lawson) of Carroll, Jacob Lawson of Carroll and Heidi Kessell of Allen, Texas; her great grandchildren, Caden Lawson of Carrol, Emma Lawson of Carrol, Olivia Lawson of Carrol and Haley Kessell of Allen, Texas; and her sister Vickie (David Featherstone) of Johnston, Iowa. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
