It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Judith Elaine Deist (Audubon, Iowa), born in Harlan, Iowa, who passed away on June 18, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Andersen and Elaine Andersen (Schnack); her sister Pat (Tom Custer); her parents-in-law, Art and Elsie Deist; and her nephews, Todd Custer and Brett Andersen.
She is survived by: her children, Lynette (Raymond Gladman) of Villisca, Iowa, Shari (Jim Lewis) of Audubon, Kenneth, Steven (Mary Deist) of Exira, Iowa, Tamie (Zach Fahn) of Kimballton, Iowa and Duane; her husband Duane Deist of Audubon; her sons, Kenny Deist of Audubon and Richard Deist (Tara Hansen) of Audubon; her great grandchildren, Parker Gladman and Baby Gladman; her siblings, Margaret (Dennis Backhaus) of Westside, Iowa, Darlene (Tom West) of Kimballton, Ed (Vickie Andersen) of Kirkman, Iowa and Joyce (Merlene Ostebee) of Audubon; and her brother-in-law Douglas Deist of Glenwood, Iowa. She is also survived by seven step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren.
