He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Weitl and Ella Regina Weitl (Riesberg); his siblings, Howard Weitl, Allan Weitl and Doris Hirman (Weitl); and his siblings-in-law, Mary Weitl and Benji Havermann.
He is survived by: his son Josh (Kiley Weitl) of Dallas Center; his wife Polly Weitl of Audubon, Iowa; his child Jorja Weitl (Cooper Frankl) of Cedar Falls, Iowa; his grandchildren, Rory Weitl of Dallas Center, Iowa and Blake Weitl of Dallas Center, Iowa; his siblings, Noreen Havermann of Carroll, Janice (Paul Klaus) of Forest Lake, Gary Weitl of Templeton, Sharon (Ken Wicker) of Independence and Dave (Kris Weitl) of Pine Colorado; his mother-in-law Rosie Dale of Audubon, Iowa; and his siblings-in-law, Sharon Weitl of Audubon, Jennifer (Jim Mossyge) of LeRoy, Minnesota and Todd (Linda Dale) of San Diego. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.
