It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elaine Marie (Mumgaard) Sornson (Audubon, Iowa), who passed away on November 17, 2017, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Anders Antonius (Tony) and Eva Mumgaard (Christensen); her brother Charles Mumgaard; and her sisters-in-law, Rilla Sornson and Louise Chehak (Donald).
She is survived by: her husband Robert Sornson of Audubon; her children, Judy (Richard Baker) of Audubon, Paul (Deb Sornson) of Wichita, Greg Sornson of Valrico and Jane (Robert Weber) of Audubon; her grandchildren, Chris Baker (Erika) of Roseville, Jill Kurtz (Preston) of Houston, Eric Sornson (Megan) of Overland Park, Amy Pile (Tim) of Wichita, Megan Sornson (Chris Modl) of San Diego, Rachel Sornson, Chad Strong of Riverview, Laney Sornson of Valrico, Ryan Weber of North Liberty, Alex Weber of Cedar Rapids and Jacob Weber of Plano, Texas; her great grandchildren, Lauren Baker, Kellen, Mollie, Annie Sornson, Elodie Kurtz, Oliver Pile and Arlo Strong; and her brothers-in-law, Charles (Kathy Sornson) of Alamo and John (Lou Ann Sornson) of Warsaw. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
