Dale Nelson Sloth Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jens C. Sloth and Christina M. Sloth (Nelson); his wife Louise Kathryn Balk; his brothers, Iver (Leora Sloth) and Earl Sloth; his parents-in-law, Clem and Florence Balk; and his sisters-in-law, Thelma (Harry Grimsman), Marlene Brincks and Dorene (Larry Gute).
He is survived by: his grandson Ryan Sloth; his siblings-in-law, Laverne Balk, Leroy Balk, Ray (Faye Balk) and Terry (Nancy Balk); his children, Rick (Merrie Ann Sloth), Sandy (Bob Busche), Duane (Becky Sloth) and Shelly (Don Counsell); his great grandchildren, Bryan Sloth (Mary Heithoff), Kevin, Krista Sloth, Keegan, Crue, Matt, Taryn Busche, Mara, Reid, Scott, Chelsea Busche, Declan, Lincoln, Melissa, Brian Jacobs, Easton, Jacque, Alex Wagner, Mia, Carter, Derek, Callie Counsell and Cole Counsell; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Austin Buelt (Amber), Celeste, Brandon Buelt, Emily, Carrie Ann, Steven Hayward, Ana, Lane and Alex; and his brother-in-law Melvin Brincks. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Dale was very civic minded and was a Melville Township Trustee for several years; donated over 5 gallons of blood; a member of the Audubon County Farm Bureau; a member of the Operation T-Bone Committee for 28 years feeding and shipping cattle to Omaha for many years and assisted with the Avenue of flags.
