He was predeceased by: his mother Etta Clara Hoeck (Von Seggern); his wife Ellen Yvonne Rasmussen; his father Ed Hoeck; his siblings, Edward L. Hoeck and Dorothy (Ben Mackrill); his siblings-in-law, Rose Mary Rasmussen (Folk), Donald Eugene Rasmussen (Helen-Jane) and Lorraine Rasmssen; and his grandson Justin Hoeck.

He is survived by: his sister Norma Dant (Ron) of Atlantic, Iowa; his brothers-in-law, Robert Rasmussen (Lori) of Hutchinson, Minnesota and John Rasmussen of Santa Barbara, California; his children, Bert Hoeck (April), Mary Juhler (Bill Casteel) and Norman Hoeck (Sue) of Atlantic, Iowa; his grandchildren, Christina Bradshaw (Robert) of Omaha, Nebraska, Melissa Murray (Steve) of Cumberland, Cathyryn Nieto (Bruce Miller) of Evansville, Indiana and Mitchell Hoeck (April) of Atlantic, Iowa; and his great grandchildren, Amberlye, Michael Ervin, Reanna, Bryor Murray of Cumberland, Iowa, Wesly, Alex Bradshaw of Omaha, Nebraska, Jonathan Nieto, Isaac Miller of Evansville, Indiana, Crystal, TiffaniAnne Hoeck of West Point, Nebraska, Lilly Hoeck, Taylor Kirchner, Matthew Baker, Logan Hoeck and Jaydon Hoeck of Atlantic, Iowa. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
