He was predeceased by: his wife Elaine Smith; his granddaughter Jodi; and his siblings, Genevra, Mervin, Dean, Ruth, Doyce and Charles.
He is survived by: his children, Bill of Thoreau, NM, Jan Lockhart (Dwayne) of Dystart, IA and Joyce Beedle (Gary) of Avoca, IA. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rieken Vieth Funeral Home (219 Oakland Ave, Oakland, IA 51560). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Hancock United Methodist Church (204 E Kimball St, Hancock, IA 51536).
