She was predeceased by: her husband William L. Pitka (Bill); her children, H. James Pitka and Ceatta Mann; her daughter-in-law Ann Pitka; her parents, James Hicks and Ceatta Hicks; and her brothers, Mearle Grant Hicks and Harold James Hicks.

She is survived by: her son Harold James (Jim); her sister Hazel Sig of Montezuma, IA; her sisters-in-law, Edith Peters of Peoria, AZ and Della Hicks of Shoreline, WA; her children, Melody Winter of Montevideo, MN and William F. Pitka (Bill); and her grandchildren, Ryan Pellett (Susan) of Omaha, NE, Rick Mann (Rina) of Mableton, GA, Beth Salesberry (Jon) of Ankeny, IA, Aaron Pellett (Dawn) of Alborn, MN, William A. Pitka of Coralville, IA and Angela Peterson (Ike) of Spearfish, SD. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
