He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton "Tony" J. Freund and Helen D. Freund (Zimmer); his siblings, Charles "Chuck" Freund, Jack Freund, Mary Lea Freund and Joan Redler; and his brothers-in-law, Leroy Redler, George Lowe and Heinz Gerschermann.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Logan Hilton, Camryn Hilton, Ruth Golay, Lennon Golay, Grey Golay, Claire Freund, Chloe Freund and Laurel Mullinix; his siblings, Mike Freund (Debbie), Jean Gerschermann, Sherry Stodolski (Neil), Carole Lowe and Julia Freund; his sisters-in-law, Linda Freund-Ebbinga and Marilyn Freund; and also, Rhea Freund, Marie Hilton (Jimmy) of Gilbert, Brandi Golay (Alex), Alex Freund (Emily) of Atlantic, Jeana Mullinix (Ralph IV) of Ocala and Nick Freund of Lewis, Iowa. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
