It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Ann Jones-Simonsen in Atlantic, Iowa, born in Carson, Iowa, who passed away on July 17, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Miller and Leora Miller (Bradshaw); and her sister Cheryl. She is survived by: her former spouse Jeryl Jones; her husband Paul "Si" Simonsen of Atlantic, IA; her children, Merlin Jones (Sharon) of Minden, IA, Joahn Jones (Olga) of Bellevue, NE, Bryan Simonsen (Celine) of Walnut, IA, Kendal Osbahr of Omaha, NE and Elly Whaley (Dan) of Omaha, NE; her grandchildren, Janae, Jared, Slava, Aiden, Evan, Sarah, Andrew, Morgan, Mackenzie, Madison, Chelsea and Emma; her great grandchild Landon; and her siblings, Roger Miller (Betty) of Colorado Springs, CO and Beverly Herbert of Council Bluffs, IA. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
