It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Ford of Atlantic, Iowa, who passed away on March 16, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rita Ford to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Leo and Mabelle Fredericka Cavanaugh (Andersen); her husband David Terence Ford of Paul's Lutheran Church; her parents-in-law, Clarence and Lillian Ford; and her siblings, Jim Cavanaugh, George Cavanaugh Jr., Edward Cavanaugh, Rosalie Cron (Joan Hermansen), Bob Hudson and Everette (Evelyn Knutson).
She is survived by: her children, Dorinda Duvall (Dave) of Atlantic and David Ford (Ty) of Boise, Idaho; her grandchildren, Sam Ford (Esther Reynolds) of Bosie and Chole Anderson (Logan) of Bosie, Idaho; and her sister-in-law Sharon Hudson of Syracuse.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Zion Lutheran Church (811 Oak St, Atlantic, IA 50022).
