He was predeceased by: his parents, Erle Blanchard and Barbara Blanchard (Ruble); his wife Marilyn Blanchard (Leslie); his stepchildren, Gary Popp, David Popp and Diane Borkowski (David "Ski"); and his brother Brian Blanchard.
He is survived by: his children, Zachary Blanchard (Christine), Jim Blanchard, Jack Blanchard, Missie Nemitz (Bob) and Jodi Primeau (Jay); his grandchildren, Jacob Nemitz and Bailey Eastwood; his sister-in-law Marilyn Blanchard; and his pets, Spike and Molly.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM and at 3:00 PM. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Roland Funeral Service (204 E 5th St, Atlantic, IA 50022).
