He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph "Ted" and Gladys Christensen; his parents-in-law, William Euken and Leona Euken; his brother Merlyn Christensen; and his siblings-in-law, Larry Richter and Faye Christensen.

He is survived by: his wife Jeanine Christensen of Atlantic; his children, Cory Christensen of Atlantic and Julie (Cliff Aupperle) of Wiota; his grandchildren, Alyssa M. Christensen of Atlantic, Cameron Reid of St. Ansgar and Jessica S. Aupperle of Wiota; his sister Mardell Richter of Atlantic; and his aunt Darlene Hockenberry of Atlantic. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
