It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Katherine Abild of Atlantic, Iowa, who passed away on September 16, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Reverend Fred Grimsley and Velma Grimsley (White); her husbands, Ralph Hatchett, Jr. and Robert J. Abild; her daughters, Donna Norton and Rebecca Jo Burt; her brother Donald; her sister-in-law Jean Grimsley; her niece Lois Grimsley; and her nephews, Ronald Grimsley and Paul Grimsley.
She is survived by: her children, John Abild (Diane), Ronda Wilkinson (Tim), Janet Christensen, Cindy Ulveling (Robert), Robin Suko (Ervin), Greg Abild (Kathy) and Rusty Winship; her grandchildren, Michael Bringmann, Sheena Parks, Brendon Gold, Christopher Gold, Jennifer Moberg (Eric), Blake Wilkinson, Shania Wilkinson, Beau Wilkinson (Ariana Hart), Sean Wilkinson, Alexandra Garrett, Megan Abild, Conner Christensen, Erik Abild, Zach Abild (Mirela), Kersten Abild, Jeremy Schlake (Chelle), Justin Schlake (Mindy), Jacob Schlake (Amber), Shannon Siedlik (Chris), Brandi (Brian) of Maine, Mikala Smith (Brandon), Vanessa Hoover (Randy), Austin Arndt, Aubrey Schuler (Fred), Tyler Mills, Cody Mills (Mayra) and Austin Mills; her nieces and nephews, Leslie Cross (Mark), Karen Fowler (Andy), Steve Grimsley (Lorri) and Bob Grimsley; and her close friend Helen Gregersen.
