He was predeceased by: his parents, Laura Ellen Smith (James) and Wayne Smith; his wife Arletta Lynn Smith; and his great-nephew Kooper Lohoff. He is survived by: his close friend Scotty; his children, Jeremiah Smith of Madrid, IA and Angelic Kelly (Mike) of Atlantic, IA; his grandchildren, Samantha, Quintin, Aiden Smith, Caleb (Ashley), Hunter, Jeffrey, Jack and Willow Kelly; his sister Gail Lohoff (Mike Doyle); his uncle Ron Smith (Alice) of Council Bluffs, Iowa; his niece Tara Wheeler (Colby) of Atlantic, IA; and his nephews, Jason Lohoff (Amy) of Creston, IA and Adam Lohoff (Andrea) of Panama, IA. He is also survived by many cousins and close friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at 1913 E 22nd St, Atlantic, IA 50022. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
