It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Larsen of Atlantic, Iowa, born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, who passed away on August 8, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Cavanaugh and Ella Cavanaugh (Pieper); her husband Lyle Lawrence Larsen; her daughter Lucille; and her siblings, Ida May Cavanaugh, Janell Stauffer and Darrell Boehler.
She is survived by: her children, Virlee Reed (Robin) of Clear Lake, MN, Lynn Larsen (Sue) of Anita, IA and Valonda Burke (Tim) of Kansas City, MO; her grandchildren, Chris Reed (LeAnn), Angeline Abts (David), Michael Burke, Lucas Larsen, Stephen Burke and Christopher Burke; and her great grandchildren, Riley, Andrew and Ashley Reed. She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
