He was predeceased by: his father Floyd Van Ert; his father-in-law James Atkinson; and his great-nephew Camden Van Ert. He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Korver (Kint); his wife Penny Atkinson of Atlantic; his son Grant Davis (Schnauzers) of Phoenix, AZ.; his stepfather Gary Korver of Clinton, IA; his siblings, Gary Van Ert Sr. (Jennifer) of Atlantic, Al Van Ert (Bryce) of Austin, TX, Aaron Van Ert of North Carolina, June Cruthis (Tom) of Clinton, IA, Abby Van Ert of Des Moines and Brandi Hartwig (Kerry) of Iowa Falls; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Atkinson, Jane Hazen (Tim) and Marty Raiser.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Jeff Van Ert Family in honor of him.
