We are sad to announce that on December 22, 2024, at the age of 83, Janet Irene McAfee of Atlantic, Iowa, born in Anita, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Selmer D. Newell and Evelyn Newell (Schwab); and her brother Selmer Junior Newell. She is survived by: her children, Roberta (Mark Tilton) of Anita, Ralph (Debbie) of Parrish, FL, Steve of Massena, Alan of Madison, WI and Scott of Adair; her grandchildren, Alexandrea Schwanke (Garrett), Christian McAfee, Cole McAfee (Jessica), Tyler McAfee (Grace), Paige McAfee and Peter McAfee; and her great grandchild Miles McAfee.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home - Atlantic (1804 E 7th St, Atlantic, IA 50022).
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association in Janet's name and can be sent in care of Schmidt Family Funeral Home to P.O. Box 523 Atlantic, Iowa 50022.
