She was predeceased by: her parents, Hans Petersen and Juletta Petersen (Molgaard); her husband Arlin Bornholdt; and her parents-in-law, Calvin Hoegh, Ted Stenberg, Dewey Hess, Donald, Marlis Bornholdt, Ross Bornholdt, Max Bornholdt, Carl Bornholdt, Helen, John Marxen, Janice, Wilbert Andersen, Everett and Judy Bornholdt.

She is survived by: her sisters, Phyllis Hoegh of Elk Horn, IA and Barbara Stenberg of Rockwall, TX; her uncle Merlyn Molgaard of Elk Horn, IA; and her siblings-in-law, Robert Bornholdt of Elk Horn, Darlene Hess (Bornholdt) of Harlan, Jean Bornholdt of Walnut, Mickey Bornholdt of Atlantic and Joan Bornholdt of Marne, IA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to the Danish Immigrant Museum or the Danish Windmill both in Elk Horn, IA, or to Hospice of the Midwest in Guthrie Center, IA.
