He was predeceased by: his mother Louise Fairbairn (Boruch); his wife Sandy Rhoads; and his parent Dale Fairbairn. He is survived by: his sons, Scott Fairbairn (Shelley) and Steve Fairbairn (Sandy Shirley); his stepchildren, Jeff Rhoads (Jodi) and Jeni Block (Ken); his brother Keith Fairbairn (Nancy); and his grandchildren, Morgan Shirley-Fairbairn, Mattie Shirley-Fairbairn, Astrid Fairbairn, Dylan Fairbairn, Abbey Ewell (Austin), Dustin Rhoads, Destiny Andersen, Shelbi Williamson, Colton Williamson (Cassidy) and Raven Williamson. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren; and a large circle of friends and family.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home - Atlantic (1804 E 7th St, Atlantic, IA 50022). A reception will be held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Hitchcock House in memory of Harold and may be mailed to the Schmidt Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 523, Atlantic, IA 50022.
