He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Leslie and Hazel Leslie; his stepmother Florence Leslie; his son-in-law Michael Torbensen; his sister Rosemary Witt Broderius; and his brothers-in-law, Bob Witt and Bob Broderius.

He is survived by: his wife Suzanne of Atlantic; his children, Jody Torbensen, Ariz, Christine Leslie of Woodbury, Jonathan Leslie (Lilli) of Kijabe, Kenya and East Africa; his grandchildren, Nicholas Torbensen of Omaha, Hannah Stevens (Henrik) of Minneapolis, Minn., Tiana Leslie of Bloomington, MN, Joshua Leslie, Sophia Leslie and East Africa; and his brothers-in-law, Richard Carver (Carol) of Glencoe and Alan Carver (Linda) of Ames. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
