He was predeceased by: his parents, Roseann Irene Ortgies (Kearney) and John Ortgies; his wife Donna Ortgies; and his brothers, Eldon Ortgies and Jimmy Lee Ortgies.
He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Platte (Rol) of Omaha, NE and Tim Ortgies (Kim) of Atlantic, IA.
