He was predeceased by: his parents, George Steffens and Alberta Steffens (Vanderwater); his parents-in-law, Clyde and Laverne Moore (Paul); his brother-in-law Larry Moore; and his great grandchild Makenzie Steffens.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Steffens; his children, Todd Steffens (Julie), Stacy Socha-Steffens, Denny Steffens and Tracy Christiansen (Jim); his grandchildren, Heather (Chris), Jacob, Dylan, Kelsey Courtney (Daniel), Kayla, Laurel (Dayton), Hailey and Lacy; his great grandchildren, Laney, Naomi, Ocean, Grayson and Koa; and his sister Sandy Eversole (Mike). He is also survived by four nephews; and one niece.
