He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold "Shorty" Ray and Shirley Johnson Ray; his grandparents, Frank, Vera Ray, James Johnson and I. Lucille Johnson; his son Courtney Ray; his sister Debra Jo Glover; and his son-in-law Wynn Winston.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Barnholdt of Atlantic; his children, Ryan Ray (Alice) of Atlantic, Garsten Ray (Angie) of Atlantic, Carrie Winston of Atlantic and Jason Albert of Atlantic; and his grandchildren, Spencer Ray, Brynna Ray, Carson Ray, Holland Ray, Jacob Albert, Eric Albert, Ashlynn Albert, Bridgett Wetrich and Gabby Millhollin. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
