He was predeceased by: his parents, Pearl Agnes Schlotzhauer (Tracy) and Arthur Schlotzhauer; his son David Schlotzhauer; and his brothers, Bill and Roger Schlotzhauer.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Sue Dory of Atlantic; his children, Kevin Schlotzhauer (Rhonda) of Atlantic and Diana Sievers of Walnut; his brother Lowell Schlotzhauer (Bonnie) of Minnesota; and his sister-in-law Carol Schlotzhauer of Kansas City. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
