It is with great sadness that we announce the death of De Lila Briles (Atlantic, Iowa), born in Creston, Iowa, who passed away on July 19, 2018, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter F. Proehl and Anna Mae; her sisters, Shirlene South, Karon Jackson, Raymond Briles, Nellie Briles, Eugene Winger and Betty Winger; her brothers-in-law, Jerry Herrick and Robert L. Cook; and also Edgar Lawrence.
She is survived by: her husband Melvin Briles; her daughters, Shelly Burrows (Robert), Stacy Mueller and Shaunna Briles; her grandchildren, Jennifer Dunn (Jason), James Burrows (Niqua), Dylan Newell, Derek Mueller, Lane Mueller and Lyndi Mueller; her great grandchildren, Elle Schnakenberg, Jase Dunn, Vaelin Dunn, Zeke Hamilton and Sophie Burrows; and her siblings, Karen Theulen (Lenny), Sharen Herrick and Rick Proehl (Laura Belle). She is also survived by her three daughters, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
