It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darlene Knutsen of Atlantic, Iowa, born in Carroll, Iowa, who passed away on August 26, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Kirsten Pedersen (Jensen); her parents-in-law, Alfred and Edna Christina Knutsen; her grandson Ryan Stone; her siblings, Edel Leist (Ilo), Lydia Pedersen and Egon Pedersen; her son-in-law James Logue; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Ann Petty (Merrill), Betty Esbeck (Robert) and Mads Knutsen (Vernice).
She is survived by: her husband Carl; her children, Kenneth Knutsen (Patricia), Carol Logue, Brenda Herrick (Brad), Kevin Knutsen (Carol Wolfe) and Jolene Klocek (John); and her sister-in-law Lovie Andersen (Roy). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.
