He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Vieth and Mary Vieth; his parents-in-law, Swen Swanson and Minnie Swanson; his sister Jean Sargent; and his siblings-in-law, Viola Conrad, Alma Dencklau and Earl Swanson.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Vieth of Atlantic, IA; his children, Ellen of New Albany, OH and Christopher Vieth (Laura) of Lansing, MI; his siblings-in-law, Irene Peck of Fergus Falls, MN, Marlene Owens of Centerville, IA and Wayne Swanson (Phyllis) of Norwalk, IA; and also Barnard of New Albany, OH. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
