It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carl Knutsen of Atlantic, Iowa, who passed away on April 12, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Knutsen and Edna Christina Knutsen (Christensen); his parents-in-law, Hans and Kirsten Pedersen; his wife Darlene Knutsen; his grandson Ryan Stone; his siblings, Mads Knutsen (Vernice), Mary Ann Petty (Merrill) and Betty Esbeck (Robert); his son-in-law James Logue; and his siblings-in-law, Edel Leist (Ilo), Lydia Pedersen and Egon Pedersen.
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Knutsen (Patricia), Carol Logue, Brenda Herrick (Brad), Kevin Knutsen (Carol Wolff) and Jolene Klocek (John); and his sister Lovie Andersen (Roy). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Roland Funeral Home (204 E 5th St, Atlantic, IA 50022). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at the Atlantic Cemetery (63119 White Pole Rd, Atlantic, IA 50022).
