With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Betty Thompson of Atlantic, Iowa, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Betty left this world on September 30, 2024 at the age of 98, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Bode and Elsie Bode (Cron); her husband Dula Thompson; her son Bill Thompson; her grandson Erick Pultz; her son-in-law Rick Crone; her parents-in-law, Effie Thompson and Josiah Thompson; and her sisters, Arlene Jahnke and Maxine Dolch (Gayle).

She is survived by: her children, Marvin Thompson (Melinda) of Oakland, Lanette Crone of Cedar Rapids and Ken Thompson (Kathy) of Lincoln, Nebraska; and her sister-in-law Evalene Eskridge. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation to the Multiple Myeloma Foundation in honor of Betty's late son, Bill.
