He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Ross and Mable Ross (Miller); his son Robert Ross; his former wife Marie Ross; his wife Dorothy Ross; and his siblings, Ernest Ross of Chicago and Leta Sheldon of Spencer, Nebraska..
He is survived by: his sister Carolyn Colfack of Spencer, Nebraska; his children, Beverley Starkey (Michael) of Omaha, Dave Ross (Rhonda) of Atlantic and Debbie Crawford (Roger) of Atlantic; and his grandchildren, Nick Ross (Natalie) of Waukee, Nathan Ross (Meagan) of Atlantic, Chelsea McCunn (Brice) of Massena, Andy Bateman (Karen) of Atlantic, Joey Bateman (Chris Bram) of Minneapolis, Sam Bateman (Katelyn) of Atlantic and Max Bateman (Dani Mathisen) of Atlantic. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
