With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Theodore Ralph Koopman of Atkins, Iowa, born in Colton, South Dakota, who passed away on January 27, 2022 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Koopman and Marie Koopman (Bykerk); his siblings, Al Koopman (Georgina) and Julia Burgers; his former wife Judy Koopman (Bauer); his sister-in-law Nancy Haberle (Jim); and his niece Jacqueline Voelker.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Koopman (Stallman); his children, Jenny Hansen (Joel) and Jacob; his grandchildren, Josh of Cedar Rapids, Jeremy Driscoll (Amelia), Jules and Maverick; his sisters, Joyce Bierling (Frank) of Gainesville, FL and Mary Fedders (Rich) of Sioux Falls, SD; his brother-in-law Elmer Burgers of Sioux Falls, SD; his mother-in-law Betty Stallman; and his siblings-in-law, Gary Stallman (Nancy), Richard Stallman (Ginger) and Julie Stallman (Bob). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to concerns over Covid, it is suggested that family members and friends wear a mask to any funeral event.
