With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Charles Hare of Atkins, Iowa, born in Cedar Falls, Iowa, who passed away on May 25, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Hare and Rosemary Hare (Sherman); and his daughter-in-law Kimberly Hare (Willis). He is survived by: his wife Ruth Johnson Leberman of Atkins; his children, Joe Hare of Aurora, CO and Katie Jackson (Brett) of Urbandale, IA; and his siblings, Bill Hare, John Hare, Mary Swarm and Barbara Grimmer. He is also survived by four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
